GammonGuide
Learn backgammon by calling the expert's moves.
Coming soon to the App StoreHow it works
A strong backgammon engine plays both sides of the game. When it's your turn, the game pauses and you decide what you would play. Then the engine makes its move and tells you how close you came: right, close, mistake or blunder.
You watch a whole game of expert play and make every decision along the way, including the doubling cube: when to double, and when to take or drop.
What's inside
- Two ways to play. Full play: move the checkers yourself and submit the whole play. Quick play: tap the checker you think the engine moves first.
- GammonGuide Coach (one-time in-app purchase) adds Why? for every round, Replay and Previous games. Try Why? free on your first three mistakes.
- Why? A plain-language explanation of the last round, worked out from the position.
- Replay. The last round plays back on the board while a voice explains it.
- Opening Drill. Practise the first move of the game with every opening roll.
- Progress. See how often you blunder, and whether that's going down.
- Apple Watch. Play a full game on your wrist (Series 9 or later).
